ASAP: To the MSM, Burning Issues 2/19/09 The MSM is bent on filling the "news" with sensationalism, however trivial, to divert the interest and attention of people away from what is truly important. So the MSM provides us with these "burning issues" stories, while ignoring those stories that would inform us of the governments attempts to eliminate our gun rights, or new laws being passed that will ruin thousands of businesses, for example.
There is no other explanation for these otherwise hilarious "news" stories. While the MSM ignores the fact the president of the United States is a fake, it dutifully warms us of the danger to all of us posed by "fake toothbrushes." Really!
And, while the MSM ignores the passage of a bill that will damage every manufacturer of children's products, from clothing to books, and put most smaller operations out of business, we're informed of the plight Indian snake charmers put out of business by some law protecting snakes.
[I'll have a follow-up to the draconian anti-childhood-products business law, which has been passed.]
And just because they are so important, here are two more important stories the MSM investigators have brought to light:
The Australian company, Virgin Mobile, is now granting its employees up to 5 paid days, ah... "pet-ernity" leave "for staff to take time off to care for a sick pet," or for "staff introducing a new kitten or puppy to a home and it must be 10 weeks old or younger." Your own your own if your introducing a new colt and lamb, apparently. I do not know why the MSM has not pointed out the obvious species discrimination in this.
Finally this, because it is at least interesting. Buddhists in India have utilized a unique building material which most of us just throw away. They have built beautiful temple using over one million beer bottles.
