Win Harry Browne's Book

If you really want freedom in this world in your lifetime, well Harry Browne wrote the book on it. How I Found Freedom In An Unfree World was published in 1973 and was an instant libertarian classic.

It is not the only book Harry wrote (13 in all, selling over 2 million), and his third book, You Can Profit from a Monetary Crisis was #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. But his most enduring book will always be How I Found Freedom In An Unfree World.

The book is currently out of print, and since it is a classic, and considered a collectors item, it is listing right now on Amazon for $297 (price fluctuates daily). But you may be able to get your copy of Harry Browne's How I Found Freedom In An Unfree World for free.

How To Win Harry's Book

To help promote the "Free Individual" I am offering two NEW hard-bound copies of Harry's book, to everyone who is truly interested in being free in their lifetime, and all they have to do to win their book is to tell us why they would like to have Harry's book, and what freedom means to them.

This is not an essay contest, and the decision of who will receive the books will be based solely on how convincing one makes their case for deserving to learn how to be free because they are determined to be. Harry believed, as I do, that freedom is available to anyone who truly seeks it and is willing to "pay the price" to have it. If you would like to have Harry's book, this is all you have to do:

Send us an email at:

...and include the following:

An email address and snail-mail address where your book can be shipped. [The information will be used for no other purpose than to notify you if you have won. It will not be stored or distributed in any way.]

In your email answer these two questions in any manner you wish:

1. Why do you want Harry Browne's book, How I Found Freedom In An Unfree World?

2. What does freedom means to you, and why can you not live without it.

Your answers may be as long or short as you like, but we have a prejudice for the succinct.

The decision of who the winners are will be made in three months from today. The winner will be announced on either the Independent Individualist or "Free Individual," or both, and the winning "answers" will be published in the Independent Individualist.

If you are not the winner of Harry's book, you can still be the winner of your own freedom in this world today. We hope the "Free Individual" will help you achieve your free life.
